In the afternoon of June 7, our college invited Professor Xiong Jiazai of Accounting College to give a lecture entitled "Administrative Monopoly Regulation and Regional Entrepreneurship - Quasi-Natural Experiment from the Fair Competition Review System" for the teachers and students of the college in Conference Room 910 of the Complex Building of Jiaoqiao Park South, which was presided over by Wang Shoukun, the vice president of thecollege.

  At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Xiong Jiacai introduced in detail the research background of the article - administrative monopoly. Based on the impact of administrative monopoly on regional business environment, the article intends to investigate whether the regulation of administrative monopoly can affect the level of regional entrepreneurship. The article firstly obtains the conclusion that the regulation of administrative monopoly will significantly enhance the level of regional entrepreneurship; through the heterogeneity test, the article finds that the regulation of administrative monopoly has a more significant impact on the level of regional entrepreneurship in regions with lower degree of financial marketization, stronger government intervention capacity and stricter review of the implementation of the system. Further, through the mechanism test, the article finds that the regulation of administrative monopolies enhances regional entrepreneurship through three major ways: lowering barriers to entry, enhancing the efficiency of financial resource allocation and improving the rule oflaw.

  During the lecture, teachers and students of the college interacted with Prof. Jiacai Xiong enthusiastically. Wang Zili, Wang Shoukun, Feng Dawei, Tan Shiyu, Han Qingjiang and many other teachers were interested in the mechanism test and data in Prof. Xiong's research and actively asked questions to Prof. Xiong, who explained thereasons.
