In order to provide parents of new students majoring in Digital Economy with a deeper understanding of our institute and to promote communication and interaction between teachers and parents, our institute successfully held the 2023 Digital Economy New Student Parent Meeting on the morning of September 11, 2023, in the second conference room of the eleventh floor of the South Complex Building. This event received strong support from the institute's leadership, including President Xie Hualin, Party Secretary Wei Qinghua, Vice Presidents Shu Cheng, Xi Mingming, and Wang Shoukun, as well as Deputy Party Secretary Zeng Aiying and the class teacher for the 2023 undergraduate freshmen, among others. The meeting was chaired by our institute's Party Secretary, Wei Qinghua, and the agenda included the following four items.
First, Secretary Wei Qinghua introduced the attending leaders and teachers to help parents gain a better understanding of the participants.
Next, President Xie Hualin delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the attending parents of the new students. President Xie Hualin provided a detailed introduction to our institute's faculty strength, talent development, academic disciplines, and student development, while also encouraging the new students to thrive and grow within this larger academic community. He conveyed a heartfelt message to the new students as they begin their academic journey.
Following that, Vice President Xi Mingming provided a detailed introduction to the Digital Economy major, covering four aspects: curriculum structure, faculty strength, educational objectives, and career prospects. This information was intended to help students and parents gain a clearer understanding of the major and provide additional insights for future planning.
Finally, parents engaged in in-depth interactive discussions with the teachers. After the detailed introductions by the leaders, parents gained a preliminary understanding of the institute's faculty strength and engaged in deep discussions with teachers on topics such as major information and students' future employment prospects.
This meeting successfully built a communication bridge between students' parents and the institute, allowing parents to gain a deeper understanding of the institute, the major, and the prospects for students' future development. The successful organization of the meeting has a positive significance in promoting students' growth and development, as well as enhancing interaction between home and school.
