On the afternoon of May 31, our institute organized the Party Member Congress for the election of the first committee members in the second conference room of the eleventh floor of the South Complex Building. The congress was attended by 82 party members, and 72 eligible voting party members were present. The number of actual attendees exceeded four-fifths of the total party members, in accordance with the party constitution requirements, allowing the congress to proceed smoothly. The meeting was chaired by the Party Secretary of our institute, Wei Qinghua.
Firstly, Party Secretary Wei Qinghua introduced the list of candidates for the committee members and their basic information. The candidates included: President Xie Hualin, Party Secretary Wei Qinghua, Deputy Party Secretary Zeng Aiying, Vice Presidents Shu Cheng, Xi Mingming, Wang Shoukun, and other comrades, including Xu Yuanbin, Ling Hongcheng, and Zhao Xiaoyuan, making a total of 9 candidates. Subsequently, the congress passed the draft of the Election Rules of the Party Member Congress of the School of Applied Economics of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and appointed Ms. Tan Shiyu as the election supervisor, and Ms. Tong Qiaozhen and Ms. Yang Jing as the vote counters. Then, the election ballots were distributed by the vote counters.
The congress adhered to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness and conducted the election through anonymous voting and differential voting (9 candidates for 7 positions). With a strong sense of responsibility towards the work of the committee and its future development, attending party members solemnly cast their sacred votes. After the voting, the supervisors and vote counters conducted on-site counting and tabulation. The election resulted in the formation of the first committee, with Wei Qinghua, Xie Hualin, Zeng Aiying, Shu Cheng, Xi Mingming, Wang Shoukun, and Ling Hongcheng elected as the first committee members.
