Recently, a research report titled Accelerating the Development of Low-Altitude Economy to Promote the 'Takeoff' of Jiangxi's Aviation Industry, authored by Professor Xiaowen Hai and doctoral students Gao Bo and Wang Ting from our institution, along with a doctoral student from the International School of Economics and Trade, received affirmative comments and approval from the main leaders of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. The report is published in the 28th issue of the Jiangxi Finance Think Tank Report in 2023.

The report suggests that Jiangxi Province is one of the first provinces in the country to undergo reforms in low-altitude airspace management. With the continuous release of reform dividends, seizing the strategic opportunities for intensive innovation and rapid growth in the low-altitude economic industry will significantly contribute to promoting Jiangxi's efforts to build the Three High Grounds and implement the Five Strategies, forming a new engine for driving economic and social development. While Jiangxi's aviation industry has a rich foundation, there are challenges such as a strong focus on military products over civilian products and strengths in manufacturing but weaknesses in operations. The development of the low-altitude economy faces constraints from institutional mechanisms, project incubation, market expansion, and basic capabilities.

The recommendations include:(1)Establishing and improving a comprehensive coordination mechanism for the long-term development of the low-altitude economy to promote takeoff.(2)Cultivating and expanding general aviation enterprises and emerging drone industries to promote diversity in flight operations.(3)Strengthening market promotion and exploring new scenarios for low-altitude economic applications to generate enthusiasm.(4)Innovating infrastructure investment mechanisms to enhance support for the low-altitude economy, ensuring stability in flight operations.
