On the afternoon of November 29th, Professor Li Deman from the School of Marxism delivered a lecture in the 11th-floor conference room of the South Comprehensive Building on the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Jiangxi. Faculty and student party members from our institution attended the event.
Firstly, Professor Li Deman briefly reviewed General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspections in places such as Jiujiang, Jingdezhen, and Shangrao, emphasizing his in-depth research in areas along the Yangtze River, enterprises, historical and cultural districts, and rural areas.
Subsequently, Professor Li Deman focused on four aspects—striving to build a harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature, establishing a modern industrial system based on reality, comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, and inheriting and developing excellent traditional Chinese culture.
Professor Li Deman pointed out that we should earnestly study the spirit of General Secretary Xi's speech, emphasizing that for Jiangxi to develop, we must start with building a harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature, keeping in mind the sustainable development of the Chinese nation and protecting the Yangtze River. He called for accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, developing and strengthening strategic emerging industries, actively planning for future industries, and striving to build a modern industrial system that reflects the characteristics and advantages of Jiangxi. The priority should be given to the development of agriculture and rural areas, accelerating the pace of modernization in agriculture and rural areas, ensuring food security, promoting agricultural industrialization, driving the integrated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas, and comprehensively advancing rural revitalization. He emphasized combining Marxist national theory with China's specific conditions and integrating it with the excellent traditional Chinese culture. This approach should follow the historical and theoretical logic of the development of the Chinese nation, scientifically revealing the principles, theories, and philosophies of the formation and development of the Chinese nation.
Through Professor Li Deman's insightful lecture, we gained a deeper understanding of the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Jiangxi. This lecture provided a rare learning opportunity and ideological baptism for faculty and students at our institution. We will take this opportunity to continuously improve our theoretical literacy and contribute our efforts to realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese Dream.
