On the afternoon of July 9, 2026, the kick-off symposium for the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund, Mechanism of Artificial Intelligence’s Impacts on the Structural Changes of Labor Markets and Policy Responses, was held in the Finance and Data Building. Professor He Xiaogang from our school serves as the chief expert of this project. Professor He Danjun, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President of our university, Director Wu Feng from the Social Science Planning Office of Jiangxi Federation of Social Sciences, Professor Jiang Chonghui, Deputy Director of the Research Affairs Office, and relevant faculty members of our school attended the meeting. Professor Jiang Chonghui presided over the event.

The advisory experts participating in the kick-off meeting included Professor Lai Desheng from the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China, Professor Ouyang Zhigang from East China Jiaotong University, Professor Wang Chunchao from South China Normal University, Professor Zhao Zhong from Renmin University of China, and Professor Gong Qiang from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

On behalf of the university, He Danjun congratulated the research team on winning the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund and thanked the participating experts for their support. He affirmed the great significance of the research and expressed hopes that the research group could leverage the university’s interdisciplinary strengths to boost disciplinary development.
Wu Feng elaborated on the importance of Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund and their role in serving major national strategies of the Party and the country, and offered guidance for the follow-up work of the research group.

During the project presentation session, Professor He Xiaogang, chief expert of the project, delivered a report to all experts and scholars. He covered the research status and topic value, overall framework and main contents, research ideas and methodologies, key challenges and innovations, expected outcomes, preliminary work completed by the research team, and core research questions refined by the group.
